Since getting a dog, I've lost about 16lbs.  Quite incredible.

I've probably been eating more too.

I'm hoping when he gets bigger we can do longer walks but 45 minutes a day is doing wonders for my waist line.

Seems my beagle is a scheming little animal.  

It's true that they say beagles are the einsteins of dogs. 

Secret camera revealed what he does when I'm out of the room.  He waits and checks I'm gone then jumps on the couch and attacks the cushions.

Fortunately he's crate trained and will remain in his crate when unsupervised.

My PC went down.

And my hard disk crashed.  And with it my data went.

AAaaaaargh!

So I started trawling the net.  There was plenty of data recovery software but my hard drive didn't even register on the PC as a drive so the data recovery software could not find it.  Bah!

OK, so I had to use a company.  

After much searching I found a data recovery company who guaranteed data recovery or no charge.  Sounds like the ticket to me, about £120 for the service.

Posted my HD off to them, 3 days later it returned with a bunch of DVDRs with my data on recovered.

Wicked!

So a free plug to 123 Data Recovery for getting my stuff back.  Still had to buy a new HD and do an XP install etc. again but saved all my photos and docs.  Great!

Well, I took delivery of my new, actually only, sex toy the Fleshlight from British Sex Toys this morning.

After following some tips for heating it up in hotwater for five minutes and seriously lubricating the device, I set to work massage my hard member with the fleshlight.  Wow, it's just awesome.

Some notes though - remove the back piece so there's some thru-air and use that to add lubricant.

Had to get a 2 new tyres for the RAV4, one keeps going flat and the tread was low on both.

Went to Kwik Fit Milngavie and was greeted by what looked like a desperado / stressed ned.  He explained I'd be best to change all 4 tyres as part of their deal - but it turned out the tyres would cost £115.50 per corner!!!!!!

What a bloody ripoff, I told him I'd been quoted £75 per tyre on the Net, but he explained that they don't match Internet prices and told me I could be driving on illegal tyres.....of course they were not illegal but started to go on about 'getting a pull' from the police etc.  This idiot (the Kwik Fit manager) seemed to think I was a totally f*cking idiot.  

It should be noted they had some writing on the wall also saying 'storage of gas canasters' which is in fact the complete wrong spelling.  

So you'll be greated by idiots, then told your tyres are illegal and asked to pay 40% more than the next tyre place!

Kwik Fit Milngavie branch is just a total ripoff.  In the end I went to Drivers who indeed charged me £72 per corner for 2 tyres and didn't try to burn me.

Two of my friends are hooked on World of Warcraft - they have in the past months nailed nearly 50 hours of playing time per week each.  

That's pretty scarey.

As the tasks can take several hours, and require online players to form a 'group' to kill big end of level bosses.....it can cut into dinner times where players often eat at the their keyboard while playing.

The prizes include additional armour, weapons etc.

However, what is the point at the end of it all?  Unlike online poker where there's money to be won....there seems little 'end point' in the game....

I just wonder how many people waste their lives away.....the record is 20 hours per day, achieving the top score.  The guy had a microwave next to his PC....

My favourite TV show Prison Break is OVER!  Sucks man, that series rocked.

The script is Michael Schofield is now imprisoned in CUBA of all places...and the new series will focus on his escape from that facility.  But that will be some months away....

Sheesh, what am I going to do now on Thursday nights?!?!?

Digital cameras have been coming down in price quite a bit, but the SLR semi-pro types have really dropped in price.

The Pentax K10D looks really nice, only 640 quid.  Yesteryear it would have been 1200-2000 for that same model.

I just don't know if I can be bothered carrying around all the equipment however - lenses, big bag etc.

The picture quality is excellent and the delay on the shutter speed greatly reduced over my regular Sony digicamera which cost 800 quid 6 years ago...a mere 3 megapixel with Carl Zeiss lense.

Would be interesting should the price point come down to 300 quid, the entry SLRs are around 430 right now....
